Me this week: I must say, overall, baby-wise I've feeling really good (aside from the nightmare plane ride). The same symptoms sort of come and go, but are never really that bad (heartburn, some back pain, trouble sleeping). If I had to pick one, I'd say the lack of sleep is the most annoying, but seems there really isn't anything I can do about it. No way to increase the size of my bladder, and no way to make the baby stop squishing my insides, so I just get to deal with it. :) But really, as of right now, it just means I wake up 4-6 times a night, get up to use the bathroom, and then try to use my 6 pillows to get myself comfy again. My full body pillow is my new best friend. On the upside, no swelling, no contractions, pretty much everything else is feeling good! I am noticing that my belly button is getting much flatter though.
Baby this week: More growing! And I can definitely tell. For the first time, those "little" kicks are starting to get uncomfortable. Not all the time, but they are much stronger which means (1) it's hard to sleep when the baby is really active and (2) certain kicks make it feel like there is an alien trying to escape via my belly button. It's a little freaky. We also have a 3d ultrasound scheduled for Friday as a nice little distraction from all the funeral activities in the days before.
