33 weeks

This was a big week for us.  On Saturday we had our very first birthing class, and it was fairly interesting.  Unfortunately there wasn't a whole lot of new information, but it was still a good class.  Although I'm not sure whose bright idea it was to make the class go from 9am to 4pm, that is way too long of a day for me.  So, since Mark had to leave early to go to his soccer game, I used it as a good excuse to leave early as well.  I don't think I missed a whole lot, to be honest.  And, the room we were in was so hot, that within 30 minutes, my fingers got so swollen I had to spend 10 minutes prying my ring off my finger, all the while losing circulation and praying that it wouldn't have to be cut off.  Oh and, I know that labor/birth is supposed to be "natural" and "beautiful" and all that, but we watched a birth video, and I must say, it was gross.  I definitely could have done without watching it.  I mean, I know physically what is going to happen, but really I'm not one that needs a visual aid, thank you very much.  And I think Mark is scarred for life now.  So that was fun...

As for me, no new symptoms this week, and I'm feeling much better than last week, thankfully, although I'm definitely getting much more tired doing every day things.  I had a midwife appointment last week, and all is looking good still.  My belly is measuring 30 cm (fundal height), which I think is exactly in the 50th percentile for 32 weeks.  Sweet!  I should try and get another video of the baby moving in my belly, it's kind of crazy how active she is and how much you can see and feel her from the outside.  I'll put it on my huge list of things to do...

I think baby has gained another half a pound, so may be as much as 4 and 1/2 pounds by now!  She is definitely getting big and is squished in there!  It's hard to believe she is going to keep growing for 7 more weeks.  But, only 4 weeks until I'm considered full term!! Then baby can come any time after that, as far as I'm concerned.  Especially if I continue to get more and more uncomfortable as time goes on.

Weight gain this week: 1 pound

Total weight gain: 18 pounds.

Sorry but I haven't taken a picture yet.  I'll try and add that later on tonight or something.
Apparently, according to these pregnancy checklists I have, I should be packing a hospital bag and installing a car seat soon.  Yikes!  Seems too early to do all that!
