38 weeks

This little baby has now been cooking longer than I did when my mom was pregnant with me!  I was born around 37 weeks, so I was half expecting this baby to be born early, although knowing statistically, being a first time mom, it's more likely that she will be born AFTER her due date.  Especially since my original due date was July 10th... or 11th, I can't remember.  Now I'm kind of regretting my decision to use the ultrasound due date of July 6th!

Now, how things are going with me... pretty much the same as last week, I'd say.  Not too much more uncomfortable, especially when I'm occupied during the day.  Night time is still the worst, but at least I'm no longer working so I can catch up on sleep during the day time if need be.  But a typical night might look something like this...

9:30 pm feeling exhausted, try to get in bed and go to sleep, but first, empty the bladder.
10:15 pm  Haven't fallen asleep yet, and I know I'm going to need to use the bathroom soon, so I might as well do it now.
11:00 pm  Mark comes in to bed... I still haven't fallen asleep yet.  Can't seem to get comfy.  Might as well get up to pee.
11:30 pm I fall asleep sometime around here.  Yay!
12:30 Wake up.  Roll over.  Realize I have to pee, AND that my hands are numb and my fingers are throbbing.  Takes 20 minutes to fall back asleep.
2:00  Up again.  Back into the bathroom.
3:00  Repeat.  Plus super thirsty, drink some water.
4:30 Repeat.  Serious finger pain.
6:00 Mark gets up for work, I get up to use the bathroom, get a drink, and a snack.
6:45 I fall back asleep since I no longer have to go to work (yay!)
8:00 Up to use the bathroom and get a drink.  Take another 30 minutes to try and get some more sleep.
9:30 am Wake up again.  Try and get some feeling back into my hands, and then wish they would go numb again because they hurt.so.very.badly!

Siiiiiigghhhh.  And I'm up.  I honestly don't see it getting worse than this with a baby around as far as night time sleep is concerned.  And at least with the baby here (1) I can sleep on my stomach (2) I can roll over without mentally preparing myself (3) I won't have to pee every hour and (4) my fingers will be functional and not throbbing!

What else... Aside from being tired, as I said earlier I am getting a lot of cramping lately, and the baby is so big/squished in there, that when she moves, it's actually really uncomfortable and sometimes painful.  And she moves A LOT.  So thank goodness there are only a few weeks left!!  I've been trying to make sure I get out and go walking every day (unless it is raining too hard), and I've noticed I'm getting a bit slower and a bit more tired!  But everything is still pretty good overall, still no belly stretch marks and no real swelling.  My belly button is pretty much completely flat, but not yet poking out. BUT the heartburn is back, and back with a vengeance!  I feel like I could breathe fire sometimes, which is always fun, and conveniently occurs when I want to be sleeping.

Anyway, weight gain this week: 1 pound
Total weight gain: 26 pounds

Pictures... even a BARE belly one!  I contemplated NOT putting any up at all, but I figure, I've only got a few weeks left, I'm not supposed to be looking great, right?  So no shame, here you go...  Not sure why the bare belly one looks so much smaller than the one with my shirt on, it was only taken like 2 days apart...
