Okay really quickly, September update. If I keep this up I will be caught up soon (ish)! Cole is a PRO at busting any and all towers. Ri and Jack have been loving catching and playing with Roley Polies these days. The freckles. My FAVORITE. Jacky had his first day of preschool, which was much different than his first day last year. No tears!! Coley baby is about to turn one!! (Remember, we are back in September here) He loves playing with the shutters, dumping his food all over the floor, and trying to steal things off the table with his sneaky little hands. At one he was crawling everywhere and cruising along the furniture, but not walking yet. Opening presents!!! And eating his cupcake like a champ. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we take Riley to school, and then it's just me and the boys for the whole morning. Cole typically naps, so really it's just me and Jackson. He loves it. Love love loves it. And every single day I have to walk in and wake this little guy up from his nap in order to pick Riley up on time. Luckily he's so easygoing he just rolls with it. But I always feel bad having to wake him! (Above: Jennie came to town. Shared her Izzy with Cole at his b-day party) Below: Cole says "ummmmmm hello? I want to come outside too!!" Grandma's backyard is way bigger than ours, and super fun. :) A little every day life. Riley had her first club soccer experience, and it was fun! Not the best team (there were a few games where Riley was the only kid to show up!) but she had fun and that's all that matters! And she perfected her mean "I'm gonna getchu" face. Kids love exploring trails and going on hikes. Especially hikes that end at a secret playground. AND that have TRUCKS. Big big trucks!!

My busy fall is winding down, which means I have some more time to catch up on the rest of my life! I always get so sad when I realize how long it has been since I updated here! So many photos and events to share! This post is a little bit Cole-heavy, but he isssss pretty darn cute! Let's start with- the bruises! He bonks his head/face so much, he always has a bruise somewhere! This month Mark took the big kids to Canada for a wedding, so it was just me and the little guy for about 4 days! He LOVED it. He got to play with ANY truck he wanted, and nobody snatched it out of his hands! Imagine that! I took him to my studio for a few pictures, and by a few, I do literally mean only a few. He does not sit still EVER, so after I got a couple I just called it a day! He got to have a solo bath, which happens NEVER, and he didn't even know what to do with himself! Also, sidenote- do you like our pink tub?? Eventually these crazies made it back to me, and our regular adventures resumed. Soaking up the last few days of summer before school starts! Went for a little hike/bike ride to the "secret playground." This guy. So wild and crazy and fun all the time. Mark likes to take the kids down to the high school to play soccer. Jackson is hilarious, he likes to do "big run ups" where he literally runs all the way across the field to kick the ball. Can you see the ball he is running to go kick?? Cole loves trucks and sand. And eating sand. And eating more sand. Jacky likes sand too. :) And then, it happened. My big girl had her first day of kindergarten. No, I did not cry (and neither did she, not even close). But man. I'm not ready! More sand eating with red eyes from playing in the splash pad. This guy LOVES to bust towers. So much. Fishy face and eatin' stuff. Typical. And THEN. We went down to Southern CA for my sister's wedding! Which meant BEACHES first! Cole uses his abs to say HELL NO I'm not touching that. And then Allison got married!!! These two were perfect at performing their duties! Cole was less than impressed by the heat, however. And this kid, man she is something incredibly special. She did a reading at the wedding. A full blown, grown up reading, into a microphone, in front of everybody. And she was awesome. Keep in mind, she is FIVE. Five. This picture. Her freckles, her serious face, me holding the microphone for her... I love this kid more than words can ever describe! And then there was Cole, the less than happy baby at this point lol. Oh welllllll! Our family!!! Now if we could only get some cousins added in there (I want some nieces/nephews!!...hint hint?) :) I have a tiny bit more to share from August, we got out family photos taken!! Somewhat of a disaster, but we did get some amazing ones in there! We'll save that post for another day...
