I type this at 10pm, sitting on the couch, with my husband and baby beside me. Yes, Riley is awake. WIDE awake, at 10pm. Usually, we'd be making every effort to get her back to sleep (she fell asleep at 7:30, woke up at 8:30, and has been up ever since), but tonight we gave in. Fine. Stay awake, baby. I've literally spent HOURS trying to get her to sleep today, and I need a break. AND. As if we didn't have enough problems getting the baby to sleep, look at what she figured out she can do in the crib...
I put her in there tonight to go to sleep, and it got all quiet (which, unfortunately, is NOT normal), so I came back and this is what I saw. Rollie Pollie. Siiiiiigh. Of course the screaming followed soon after...
You like her Stanford attire? Me too. Anyway, we now officially have the worst little sleeper EVER. Last night she was awake from 1:45 to 3:30am!! Just playing, then crying, then playing some more. Oh boy. Sleep training is definitely in the cards in the near future. Because she should not be doing THIS (see below) at 10pm. She should be sleeeeeeping!! Right? Right.
Oh well, at least she's cute, even if she fights sleep like crazy.
