We're moving across the world in one week. Which means, as you can imagine, there is lots to be done in very little time. There's cleaning and packing and errands and household projects in addition to taking care of the baby. She's used to me playing with her and reading to her and singing to her, but in the past few days I haven't been able to do that nearly as much, as days are filled with all kinds of things that are not as fun as building block towers and reading Dr. Seuss. I try to make it fun for Riley and have her "help" me with chores, but sometimes, she just is not havin' it.... This pretty much sums up my day today... And if she wasn't an unhappy little camper, she was trying to climb up my leg to get into my arms. But at last, Mark came home to save the day with some snuggles, some play time, and an early bath for the little one. I frantically tried to put all the laundry away while they were in the bath, and next thing I know I hear Mark yelling for me to come into the bathroom. And this is what I see... Only one more week of this madness, then we're on a plane across the world to see my family, and a new kind of madness can begin! Ahh I can't wait for my parents to see Riley again, the last time they saw her she was 6 months old! Needless to say a lot has changed since then! Here's to hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Tell Riley that if she's a good girl, grandma will buy her lots of presents! That always worked with you!!! Only 8 days left, I'm so excited, can't wait to see you.
