The goal: to finish the fence by the end of March. That gives us about 2 weeks. We have done quite a bit already, see? Everything you see here is new! First we have the retaining wall we built, then all new fence (complete with a gap for where the gate will eventually go). And if you look to the bottom right, you can see the beginnings of a little garden we are putting in front of the retaining wall! Pardon the lame looking grass, we really messed it up with all these projects, so we have to replant grass seed and just wait for it to grow!
But unfortunately, the hardest part is yet to come. We have to do the part of the fence that can be seen from the front of the house, so not only does it have to be perfect, it has to have some nice curb appeal. Which means we have decided to make some brick pillars/fence posts to break up the wooden fence. Now we just have to learn how to make the pillars, find out where to buy the appropriate bricks, and do all the work in 2 weeks. Sounds like it will be quite the challenge.
