Now we are still in the process of thinking of New Year's resolutions, although I think the whole idea is pretty pointless since they tend to only last about 5 days. But hey, why not give it a go, at least you do a little bit better for those 5 days, right? Ours were pretty standard (keep the house a little cleaner, eat healthier, exercise regularly, blah blah blah). so overall, just be healthy. Easy enough, right? Ha.
Now I must say, we are a little sad that this holiday break has almost come to an end... it seems to have gone by so fast, and before we know it we will be back at work! We had some many big plans for this break, all of which involved some sort of home improvement project, and as usual, they are going much, much slower than expected. Mark managed to break our wheelbarrow, which was essential to all projects we had to do, so we were required to buy a new one. But since then, he's been working hard, and tomorrow we are hoping to start laying some pavers for our new patio in the backyard. We took out a patch of grass that did not drain at all, and we are putting in a patio as well as a built in BBQ! Then, sometime after that, we will be building a fence. The goal was to get all that done by the end of this break (January 5), and now our new goal is to finish it before the baby comes. :) We'll upload some pictures once we have some real progress to show. Which may not be for a few weeks...
Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! What an exciting year this will be!
