We've started up with swim lessons again, and when Riley is in the water, she's the happiest baby in the whole world. She LOVES the pool. In the next pictures? She's so excited, she's clenching her fists, shaking her head, and squealing all at the same time.
She's a pro at going under water. She doesn't cry, and when she comes up, she looks at us like, "what? it's no big deal."
She LOVES when her daddy throws her up in the air and catches her juuuuuuust before she hits the water, just close enough so she makes a big splash, but doesn't go all the way in. She signs for more more more more, and would gladly be thrown around all day.
But she's also happy just chillin' with her daddy. As long as he doesn't dare try and take her out of the pool...
For some reason, this time around, she decided she really really wanted to drink the water. We'd take our eye off her for two seconds, and she'd dunk her face right in to take a big gulp. Yuck.
But of course, all good things must come to an end, and eventually we had to get her out. And boy did she protest. She screamed and cried and arched her little back and threw her arms up and went all floppy in hopes of convincing us she really should get to keep swimming. And she cried all the way until we were out of the complex and the pool was no longer in sight. I guess the baby loves her swimming time. :)
