She thoroughly enjoyed eating that leaf. She cried when I took it away!
Yesterday, Riley was sort of miserable. She was a big ball of snot, and sneezing everywhere (including on Mark's face... yes, it was totally funny, and a little bit gross). She was all raspy, couldn't breathe, and just wanted to snuggle with her mama. They only way to keep her happy was to read her books, or let her veg on the couch and watch the Wiggles (or Up, she likes that too). So we maybe read 100 books. Not exaggerating. We really did. But anyway, after a long day, we put her in bed, and much to my delight, she only woke up twice in the night (compared to practically every hour the night before). And then this morning... runny nose was gone. Not a single sneeze has been heard. She's happy as can be. A little raspy, but overall ten times better than yesterday. I was prepared for another day of misery (for her), and instead, I got this... I was planning on staying home all day, but she seemed to be feeling much better, so we went for a quick lunch picnic at a new park. I wasn't taking any chances so I bundled her up as if we were in the middle of winter... At least I took her sweatshirt off since it was so sunny. Oh well, at least I knew she wasn't cold. She thoroughly enjoyed eating that leaf. She cried when I took it away! Finally I swapped her winter hat out for her summer hat, more appropriate for the summer conditions. :) Once we got home, Riley spent the rest of the day searching for mischief. She found (and ate) 2 day old puffs off the floor, climbed onto the dishwasher, and had some fun under the table... Watch out. She's comin' to getcha. Oh AND, I have my very first newborn session tomorrow with an 11 day old girl, and I am just so excited!! Wish me luck!
