Please excuse the just-got-out-of-the-shower-unbrushed-thrown-in-a-bun hairdo. I'd like to say it isn't a regular occurrence, but, uhhh... it is. Anyway, moving on... my new fave thing... my sakura bloom ring sling.
For a while we were using the baby bjorn, but it is a pain to get her all strapped in when we're out, especially for quick trips in and out of stores. I decided to re-try the sling... LOVE it. It's super comfy, super easy (no straps or buckles), and Riley likes it! It took a little while for me to get the hang of it, and I still want to learn how to wear her facing out, but it's working well for us so far! And no I'm not being paid to review this... I'm not that cool.

Why hellooooo cloth diapers. I did some number crunching, and disposables are going to put this family in the poor house. SO I bought a bunch of cloth diapers for a total of under $100!! The total value of it all is probably close to $400-$500, so this is a great deal. Now before you roll your eyes, hear me out. I'm not one of those moms that's going to preach to you about how much better cloth diapers are than disposables. They both have their pros and cons, and to be honest, if I had unlimited funds, I would go with disposables in a heartbeat. I would. The people that say that cloth diapering is EASIER than disposables, well, I have no idea what they are talking about. No way. I've done both. Not easier. But whatever, to each their own, right? I personally like disposables, they don't leak (aside from the newborn blowout that is pretty much unavoidable no matter what you have on your baby's butt), my baby has never had a diaper rash in disposables, and I don't have to do any extra laundry. So my decision to try and go cloth is purely financially motivated. We could save THOUSANDS. Wow.
So today was day 1. Sort of. I say sort of because we only have 3 of the smaller size diapers, and even those are a little big, so we only used those 3. And one leaked because it was too big (yeah, that would be the one pictured below). But once they actually fit her, I think we'll be good to go!
