(1) My town. Well first of all, my town is not really much of a town. It's more of a little suburb with lots of houses, a few schools, and a little tiny shopping center. To get to the "real" town is about a 10 minute drive. We do this drive pretty much every single day, right around the inlet by our house. So this is the view on the way from our little suburb to the bigger town. Not bad as far as daily drives go.
I decided to participate in these really cool weekly photo scavenger hunts over at "Rambling and Photos" for the first time this week. Each week she pics 5 themes and you try to capture them on camera. This week's themes were: (1) My town, (2) Vintage (3) Tilt-shift (4) Dress-up and (5) Chocolate. So here's my interpretation! (1) My town. Well first of all, my town is not really much of a town. It's more of a little suburb with lots of houses, a few schools, and a little tiny shopping center. BUT, this... This is my daughter's christening gown. It's made from my mom's wedding dress. It's precious, and it's meaningful, and it's so special and I love it. (3) Tilt-shift. I hadn't really heard of this before, and this isn't a really great example, but I still liked the photo so we'll just go with it. It's an old photo, taken after my husband and I hiked up this mountain (he calls it hill, I say it was a mountain) while I was like 18 weeks pregnant. And let me tell you , it was exhausting!! (4) Dress-up. Ya know, with Halloween and all, of course I couldn't resist. And since I basically live in yoga pants these days, me dressing up doesn't ever happen. She's way cuter anyway. (5) Chocolate. YUM! This one was hard for me. I wanted to get really creative, but I kept coming up short and getting frustrated and eating the chocolate. So I decided to stop before I ate ALL of them, and ended with this. So there you have it, my first attempt at the photo scavenger hunt! Hopefully I can do it again next week! And of course a post wouldn't be complete without at least one, errrr, two pictures of Riley. :) Obviously.
