Scavenger Hunt Sunday and I Heart Faces

First... I heart faces theme this week is "Silhouettes."  Here's mine...

Now before you get all excited, THAT IS ME in the photo, which means, I did not TAKE the photo.  That photo was taken by a wonderful photographer by the name of Rachael Brown, and yes I do have her permission to use it!  Now I wasn't sure of the rules, and if these photos must be taken by ME to be entered, and I searched and couldn't find an answer to that.  But it is OF me, just not taken BY me.  So if that's breaking the rules, then oops, I wasn't trying to!  But it's still a great silhouette photo so I thought I must share!!  Now, on to the scavenger hunt (which is always a few days late!)
This week's items were: Self portrait, handmade, orange, candle, and stoplight/street light.  I almost didn't participate.  I wasn't feeling very inspired, I guess.  Or maybe I was lazy.  Yeah, I think that was it.  I was being lazy.  So of course I waited until the last minute, but I did it!  I usually like to try and incorporate Riley into these challenges somehow, but this week it was a little bit hard.  Here's what I came up with.

(1) Self Portrait.  Eh.  This was the best I got.  Never really taken a self portrait before (aside from the pictures of myself in the mirror when pregnant, but that doesn't count).  I think there's an art to self portraits, and I have yet to learn it.

(2) Handmade.  I don't have a lot of handmade things.  Riley has a few hand-knit sweaters somewhere in her closet that we got as gifts when she was born.  But I wanted to find something else, so I went searching to see what I could find.  And I found an entire box of scarves.  Like, at least 10 scarves.  Pretty sure this one was hand knit, although can't remember who I got it from.  But Riley sure did like it...

(3) Orange.  This one was the hardest for me, actually.  I just didn't have much in the way of orange.  I wanted to incorporate Riley somehow, so this one is from my archives.

(4) Candle!

(5) Stoplight/road sign.  Clearly I chose road sign.  Mostly just for the view in the background.  This is just 2 minutes from my house!

I love each of these and I think your selfie is great. In all seriousness though...I really do love each of these and that silhouette -wow.

BTW, I didn't see your feed come through my reader. SO tried to readd you as a subscription...that didnt seem to work either. Kinda frustrating.

Wow. That silhouette is stunning.

Your self portrait is really good - you are beautiful - Riley is adorable!

And what a gorgeous sight behind that street sign. Sigh.
