It's exciting to think that by next week's scavenger hunt Sunday, I WILL BE BACK IN THE US!!! Yay!
Welp, I'm late posting this, as usual. I try not to write "Sunday" in front of scavenger hunt anymore because I never post it on Sunday. In fact, it's Tuesday night here in NZ. Whoops! But in my defense, I've been a little under the weather lately, and totally lacking in sleep. In fact, I almost decided not to do it this week. But I like the challenge, it just took me a little longer than I anticipated. This week's words: (1) In My Home (2) It's beginning to look a lot like... (3) Sweet Treat (4) Time (5) Everyday. (1) In my home This is the face Riley gets every day when her daddy gets home from work. She gets so excited to see him. And he takes her and they sit on the couch and play. And she is the happiest baby in the world. With her daddy. In our home. (2) It's beginning to look a lot like.... CHRISTMAS!!! We had Riley's first Christmas party this weekend, and she got her very first present. She was SO excited, she was smiling and kicking her legs, and trying to shove the wrapped mystery gift into her mouth all at the same time. And of course, once we helped her open it, all she wanted to do was eat the wrapping paper. (3) Sweet treat. I was having a tough day, so my hubby brought home some of these for me. Yum. (4) Time. She's got my watch. When I'm wearing it, she's constantly trying to get it in her mouth. So I took it off and let her hold it, and she was mesmerized. She's kind of almost going cross-eyed looking at it... (5) Everyday. I wasn't quite sure what to do for this, but then it came to me. And it's kind of cheating because it's two pictures, but oh well. Every single day my little one learns or does something new. Every day. Like today, for example. I plopped her down on her playmat, on her back, went in to the kitchen to get a snack, and I cam back and she had somehow wedged herself under the musical toy attached to her playmat, on her stomach, perpendicular to the way she was originally facing. So I rolled her over, put her back where she started, and she did it again! And again. And again. Every day brings something new!
