Literally every single day Riley learns something new. She does something even funnier than the day before. She surprises me with the things she understands and the things she's capable of. She's been taking steps 2 or 3 steps here or there, and then all of a sudden today she busts out with ten steps. Ten. And then she looked at me like, "what? It's no big deal, I could do this all along." (I didn't catch the ten steps on video sorry).
I think I might have said this a bunch of times already but having a baby is seriously the best thing in the whole world. Especially THIS baby... Before Mark and I decided to have a baby, I knew I was ready to be a mom to a baby. But I wasn't totally sure I was ready to be a mom to a toddler/preschooler/kid. In fact, before Riley was even born, I thought to myself that I wish she could stay a baby forever. Well, little did I know... I have loved every stage of her life so far and never wished it to pass quickly, but man it just keeps getting better and better as she gets older. I can't even imagine when she starts using it as her main mode of transportation, or even when she starts running! I'm sure it will happen before I know it. It's so exciting to watch all these things happen (I know, I said that already). Oh and? Today she fed herself with a fork. It was seriously the cutest thing in the whole world. Well, one of the many "cutest things in the whole world" that she does. You know, along with fake coughing, bouncing up and down on her knees with excitement, crawling away at lightning speeds so that we'll chase her, and yelling yum yum yum while I'm feeding her yogurt. Seriously having a baby was the best thing we've ever done. :)
