Weight gain/loss

Alright, here it is.  Before getting pregnant, I never was totally in love with my body.  I always had a few (as in 10 or more) pounds to lose, but I was healthy and fit, I just enjoyed my food too much!  But now, after being the heaviest I have EVER been (which makes sense, since I was, well, pregnant!), I long for that old body back.  So, in order to motivate myself to look like any of these....
I'm setting goals for myself, and writing them down on the blog.  You may not care about my weight goals, which is perfectly fine, but at least I feel like I'm being held accountable by writing it down somewhere public!

So, here are my stats.  If you notice, I never told you how much I weighed during my pregnancy, everything was relative (gained 1 pound, or gained 25 pounds, etc).  Well in total, the day before I gave birth I gained 29 pounds.  Before getting pregnant I weighed the most that I had ever weighed at.... wait for it... 138!!  So...

Pre-pregnancy weight: 138 pounds
Total weight gained during pregnancy:  29 pounds
Weight right before giving birth: 167 pounds

Now it has been just over one week since I gave birth, and the stats went a little something like this.
Day 3 after birth: 155 lbs
Day 4 after birth: 150 lbs
Day 6 after birth: 148 lbs
ONE WEEK after birth: 146.5 lbs  

So in total, one week later, I lost 20.5 pounds. Not bad!  The real question... what does that look like?  Well, here is the last pregnant pic I took, next to me 3 days after giving birth and another one a week after birth...
Not great, but it's a start.  Now, time for goal setting.  My pre-pregnancy weight was 138, but I think that's well over what I should be.  I'm setting a goal to get to 125 pounds.  Which means, I have to lose a total of 21.5 more pound!.  Wow, that's daunting.  Especially since I can't really work out (as in, running) for another 5 or so weeks.  But I can do some walking soon, and I'm breast feeding, and I can eat healthy, so those are all things I can control.  For now it's a little hard to set a weekly  weight loss goal since my body is still in kind of a funk from giving birth.  But I can set a goal to lose at least some weight each week, and go from there.  Each week I will update with weight lost, as well as a picture.  You may find this interesting, you may not, but it motivates me to get my butt in to gear and follow through!  On the brighter side, only 8-ish more pounds until back to pre-pregnancy weight!  Wish me luck!
