Now, I AM SO HAPPY! I'm sure this would have happened regardless of what sex the baby ended up being, but I am SO happy we are having a GIRL. And mostly I'm happy that they were able to tell us! Although there is a part of me that is not 100% convinced. Our ultrasound technician was awesome, and explained everything she was looking at to us (more on that later...), but when she was looking to find the sex, the baby's legs were closed and she couldn't tell. So she kept poking me and trying to get the baby to move, and then finally she said, "It's a girl!" So I'm sure she knows what she's doing, but I was kind of like, are you sure?? But we're just gonna go with it, and assume she was right! Now we can buy stuff and pick names and tell everybody!! In fact, right after the ultrasound, we went to Baby City and bought our very first real baby purchase together. Here's what we bought! Unfortunately the lighting was horrible but I was too lazy to try and fix it, but the onesie says, "Little girl, big dreams" and the beanie is grey with a white and pink flower, and the other thing is a little stuffed animal with a silky blanket! Yay!
baby GIRL!!! We had our big ultrasound today, and thankfully, we got to find out the sex! You hear some people say that "they just KNEW they were having a ____," but that was not at all the case with me. I had no idea. And people also ask me, "Do you want a boy or a girl?" and I honestly couldn't answer. Some days I thought I wanted a girl, then others I thought a boy, so I figured I would definitely be extremely happy with either! And of course Mark would too, but he was really really pulling for a boy! He almost always referred to our baby as "he," and I think it kind of got me believeing we were having a boy, but we are both very happy it's a girl. Now our nursery is currently painted blue, but that is a very minor detail. And we already have some very very cheap baby boy clothes, but let's be honest, I have no problem dressing a baby girl in little boy clothes, especially around our house... I know our baby is a girl, and so who cares if she's in a blue onesie? But really, when it came down to it, I was SO glad that we don't get to choose if we have a boy or girl, and we just got to be surprised at this ultrasound. Now, I AM SO HAPPY!
